This blog was launched in October of 2009 by James Daniel, CFP® and Hope Daniel to give two perspectives on a married couples finances.

James has a fee-only financial planning practice, The Advisory Firm which is located in Alpharetta, GA.   His professional background includes working as an Electrical Engineer, a Professional Trader and as a Financial Advisor for a large national company (hint: you probably have one of their credit cards in your wallet).  He formed The Advisory Firm in early 2006 as a fee-only option for consumers.

Hope is a stay at home mom with a photography biz on the side.  Her background includes a degree in Journalism with a minor in photography and a degree in Culinary Arts.  She has worked in Advertising, as a Pastry Chef (and as a chef at a Cajun restaurant) Yum!  Her current photo biz can be found at www.hopedanielphoto.com
